Extremely Disappointing & Unethical Experience – Never Booking Agoda Again We were a group of 13 adults and 4 children, travelling from Delhi to Jim Corbett. We booked VOW Resort through Agoda for 6 rooms, 2 nights (24 Jan 2026 to 26 Jan 2026). The full payment was made in advance and we received booking confirmation. To be extra careful, we reconfirmed the booking twice before reaching. Shockingly, after reaching the resort, we were told that VOW Resort was already booked for a wedding and our confirmed booking was simply ignored. Without our consent, they shifted us to another property, “Vanashraya,” a 3-star resort located around 4 km away. This was absolutely unacceptable, unethical, and mentally exhausting, especially since we were traveling with 4 small kids and were already tired after a long journey. To make matters worse: The Agoda customer support did not respond at all when we tried to contact them. The reception staff at VOW Resort behaved rudely and showed attitude, as if the mistake was our fault. We were left with no option but to accept Vanashraya due to exhaustion and kids, but the experience was deeply disappointing and not what we paid for. This is a clear case of overbooking, mismanagement, and zero accountability from both Agoda and the property. Such treatment of guests who have paid in full and confirmed their booking is completely unacceptable. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do NOT book through Agoda. Confirmations mean nothing to them. We are also planning to file a complaint in Consumer Court for this harassment and negligence. Never again.

Vow Resort – A Perfect Family Stay in Nature’s Lap We recently stayed at Vow Resort with our family, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and comfortable environment. The staff is professional, calm, and polite, always attentive and ready to assist whenever needed — which truly made our stay enjoyable. The food at the resort was excellent. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options including idli, dosa, poha, chole bhature, toast, juice, and more — all very tasty and freshly prepared. The dinner, especially the non-vegetarian dishes, was delicious and full of flavor. The swimming pool was another highlight — beautifully maintained with separate partitions for kids and adults, ensuring both safety and fun for everyone. It was a great spot to relax and unwind after sightseeing. The only minor inconvenience is that liquor isn’t available within the resort, so one has to visit Ramnagar (around 15–20 minutes away) to purchase it. Overall, Vow Resort is a fantastic place for families seeking a clean, comfortable, and relaxing getaway surrounded by nature. We had a memorable experience and would definitely love to visit again!

Extremely Disappointing and Unethical Experience – Agoda & Vow Resorts. We had a very poor experience with both Agoda and Vow Resorts that clearly amounts to cheating and deficiency in service. We had booked 6 rooms at Vow Resorts through Agoda well in advance. On 15 January, we specifically called the resort to confirm our booking and to arrange safari bookings. Again, on 24 January, we called to remind them to keep the rooms ready, and we were clearly told to come as per the booking. However, upon arrival, we were shockingly informed that our booking had been shifted to Vanashray Resort without our consent or prior intimation. This was completely unacceptable. A confirmed booking cannot be changed arbitrarily, especially for a group booking of 6 rooms. Even the receptionist was throwing attitude and no one was owning the responsibility. We reached there on a cold night with children expecting comfort but were left stranded. To make matters worse, Agoda was completely unreachable. Calls remained on hold endlessly, and even the chat support failed to provide any satisfactory or timely resolution. At no point did Agoda take responsibility or provide support when it was most needed. This experience reflects gross mismanagement, lack of transparency, and clear deficiency in services by both Agoda and Vow Resort. Such practices cause mental harassment, inconvenience, and loss of trust. We strongly advise others not to book through Agoda and not to book Vow Resorts, as confirmed bookings are clearly not honored. We are also considering initiating appropriate action under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) for deficiency in service and unfair trade practices. Very disappointing experience overall.

I lik this resort so much. Staff is so supportive also good hospitality. Muzae aur rukna tha 😐😐😐 but I misss this place much more. Thanks to all staff for making our trip much better
